Position Summary
The Service Engineer performs required preventive and corrective maintenance on the STERIS/Cantel product lines and field troubleshooting primarily in his/her service area in the country.
This position involves direct interventions in client companies in the Liguria and Piemonte (South) regions.
Duties Perform preventive and corrective maintenance required on STERIS/Cantel product lines, related product lines, and competitive equipment. This includes: disassembling, replacing, or repairing defective parts; rewiring or reassembling as required; troubleshooting, adjusting/calibrating, and certifying equipment ready for use by using standard and specialized tools and test equipment (i.e., schematics, diagrams, technical manuals, etc.). Perform administrative duties as assigned including computer synchronization daily, complete service reports, maintaining tools and parts inventory to prescribed levels as required by Team Leaders and Service Manager. Uses the Corporate applications (Siebel, Oracle, Sales Connection, others) to handle his daily activity. Develop and maintain effective, communicative relationships with customers, managers, support functions and the sales organization. Maintains a courteous and professional demeanour when working with customers, contractors, management, and fellow employees. Utilize customer protocols when entering and exiting facilities and abide by all STERIS and Customer Health & Safety protocols and procedures. Provide solutions to customers to enhance sales and growth in the field through effective positioning of STERIS/Cantel products and services, identifying opportunities, and passing leads to management and sales. Education Degree High School Diploma or GED Required Experience & general requirementsMinimum of 2 years industry related experience and a general knowledge of operating washing and sterilize processing units.
Valid driver’s license required.
Good troubleshooting skills as well as proven organization attitude.
Sufficient technical knowledge of the English language.
Completion of a recognized mechanical, electrical, or electronic technical training scheme.
Availability to travel: 85% of the time
