Service Engineer - Motors **Department:** Service **Location:** Duluth, GA WEG Electric Corp. Has an excellent opportunity for a Service Engineer - Motors for our Duluth GA location. You will provide technical support for all WEG products via phone calls and e-mails. This position also reviews and processes warranty claims and coordination with third party vendors. **Primary Responsibilities** + Receive incoming calls, and emails + Receive and log warranty claims. + Answer technical calls from customers/end users + Communicate issues with internal customers (including quality, engineering, sales, etc.) + Be an area expert for external/internal customers + Analyze warranty claims data and determine its accuracy by failure and warranty period requesting additional information, as needed. + Issue credit to original purchaser or service shop. + Prepare bill back charges to factory, as needed; issues RGA-s as needed. + Develops and prepares warranty reports for management, as needed. + Track product failures for quality control purposes. + Recommend parts to customers, as appropriate. + Arrange third party assistance, as appropriate. + Maintain warranty repair log. + Consistently mentors and trains junior team member Education + High School or GED + Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent is highly preferred. Knowledge/Training + Strong Electrical Motors knowledge. + Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and information, technical job specifications are required. + Working knowledge of industrial applications. + Department procedures. + Robust product and troubleshooting knowledge. Experience + 3+ years of prior experience in a service technical support role.
