**Job Summary**
To electronically develop and reformat Electrical and hydraulic schematics of Caterpillar machines and engines for delivery via the Service Information System (SIS2.0 & SIS2Go) to dealers and customers worldwide. Also understand the Caterpillar worldwide dealer technician’s need and check the various service information deliverables developed by other authors.
**What You Will Do:**
+ This position is senior developer level career progression, which requires increasing authoring, product knowledge and understanding of Caterpillar field service technician’s need.
+ Service information Specialist utilize the Adobe Illustrator, Teamcenter, Advanced Content Manager (ACM) to develop and electronically author a variety of service information types used to operate, maintain, and repair Caterpillar equipment.
+ Assignments support both new and noncurrent product design.
+ Service information products that are produced by this role have significant impact on efficiency and profitability of dealer service operations.
**What You Have:**
Customer Focus: Service information Specialist will be responsible for product support Electrical and Hydraulic schematics. Individual will have continuous interaction with Project leaders and Product design, support Engineers and the use of a variety of corporate systems and resources.
Problem Solving: Knowledge of Caterpillar equipment’s service technicians need, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving service information document problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Level Working Knowledge:
1. Identifies and documents specific problems and resolution alternatives.
2. Examines a specific problem and understands the perspective of Caterpillar equipment’s service technicians.
3. Develops alternative techniques for assessing accuracy and relevance of information.
Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
Level Working Knowledge:
1. Provides prompt and effective responses to service technicians requests and interactions.
2. Monitors service technicians’ satisfaction levels through SIS feedback tickets on a regular basis.
3. Alerts own team to problems in Service technicians’ satisfaction.
Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a Servicing Caterpillar equipment; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.
Level Working Knowledge:
1. Provides effective technical solutions to routine functional challenges via sound technical competence, effectively examining implications of events and issues.
2. Effectively performs the technical job aspects, continuously building knowledge and keeping up to date on technical and procedural job components.
**Background / Experience:**
People from Caterpillar equipment servicing background with excellent English communication and computer knowledge will be given first preference. Candidates must have a customer focus, a strong team player and have the ability and desire to learn complex technologies, interpersonal skills, and mentoring skills.
