We are currently seeking talented individuals for our Service Maintenance Attendant position!
Here is some of what you’ll do…
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Service Manager, this position is responsible to maintain production standards by completing shop and yard organization, cleanliness and perform preventative maintenance tasks and requirements. This position will be assigned to the wash rack and steam cleaner to clean Caterpillar assets prior to and after repairs. Maintaining the wash rack and steam cleaners and areas are also essential functions.
ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS-
Wash machines upon arrival to facility, ensuring assets are free of dirt and debris prior to machine repair. Wash and details machines once repairs are complete. Ensuring customers asset leaves in detailed condition.Keeps equipment function by cleaning, lubricating, and greasing parts with a wash rack steam cleaner and high-pressure washer.Prolongs endurance of equipment by completing preventive maintenance schedules.Documents actions by completing maintenance logs.Completes deliveries and pickups by identifying destination; selecting route; driving the vehicle.Maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.Maintains continuity among work teams by communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.Determines condition of equipment by inspecting equipment before and after use; reporting damages and discrepancies.Maintains stock inventory to determine amount available, anticipating needed stock; placing and expediting orders for stock; verifying receipt of stock.Contributes to a team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Capable and flexible to perform other duties as assigned by reporting manager. QualificationsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent; or six (6) months to one (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.2. Must have good working knowledge of MS Office programs.
3. Must be forklift certified.
4. Must have a valid Class C California Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
5. Must have good communication skills and proper business etiquette.
6. Ability to multi-task and complete assignments.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Walking: Moves about on foot often up and down stairs.Handling: Works with hands.Lifting: Raises or lowers parts weighing up to 50lbs.Reaching: Extends hands and arms in any direction.Stooping: Bends body downward and forward by bending at knees or waist.Standing: Remains in standing position, if required to perform various functions of the job.Vision: Reads paperwork and records on the computer.Talking: Communicaties via telecommunications and in person.Sitting: Sits at desk for minimal amount of time.ENVIRONMENTAL:
