In this role you will:
The Maintenance Project Manager manages the execution of global maintenance projects in the passenger processing domain. These projects include regular security patching of servers used for AutoBagDrop units, Check-in kiosks, self-boarding gates and biometrics. It also includes endpoints for self-service devices and ACUS. Additional regular global projects are failover testing, global 3rd party software updates, DNS configurations etc.
The role will support the Endpoint IT Support team and the Deployment and Support Automation teams who will be responsible for the technical execution of the project tasks.
Main Responsibilities:
Project Management
Overall responsibility of the maintenance program executionInitiating and planning goals for program according to the strategic objectives of the projectPlanning the project or work-stream from start to completion involving deadlines, milestones, processes, and reporting/presentation of the same into the program on regular basisBuilding and updating risks and issues, escalate risks and issue on timely mannerConducts various work-stream review status meeting and reporting into management and other stakeholdersResponsible for managing change as per direction from managementSelf Service Delivery Subject Matter Expertise (SME)
Provides Support to the Regional Project Mangers in Self Service DeliveryProduces Self Service Artifacts for Project DeliveryIs involved in Self Service Proof of Concepts and furst of typesProject Execution
Build and manage projectGenerate completion criteria and ensure delivery thereofManage changes to the Project/program planManage change control process and participate in change process activities to ensure they reflect realistic project/program delivery requirementsGenerate Change request forms as required and obtain appropriate customer and internal approval, in line with change management standardsCustomer Engagement
Attend Implementation Project / Program Status meetings.Scope Management
Refine and finalized Project scope statement on the basis of global best practice and customer obligations.Identify all activities necessary to achieve all Project or work-stream related deliverables, and monitor through the deliveryEscalate any issue impacting costs, delivery timeline or scope to management
About the ideal candidate:
Bachelor’s degree holder in Information Technology or equivalentAtleast 5 years’ experience in the field of ITAtleast 3-5 years’ experience in Project ManagementExperience with Aviation Industry, working with Airport and Airlines in Self Service Hardware and SoftwareWorking knowledge in Deployment, Automation, Change and Release, and Project Management, software updates, DNS configuration, etc.Strong experience in project maintenance, monitoring, testing and executionPreferably Subject Matter Expert specifically for Self Service Delivery in the Aviation/Travel industryStrong customer management skills, strategic and analytical skills.Strong command of the English languageAmenable to work in BGC and Hybrid Work SetupApplication process
