Adecco is assisting a local client in Vernon, CT in hiring a Service Maintenance Technician I to work Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM for a pay range between $19.00 and $21.00 per hour. This position starts as temp to perm. Key Responsibilities: •Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure machinery and equipment are in optimal condition. •Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, performing repairs as needed. •Conduct preventive maintenance checks and follow maintenance schedules. •Document all maintenance and repair work completed. •Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment. •Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance processes and reduce downtime. •Be available for on-call emergencies outside of regular shift hours. Qualifications: •High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance or a related field is preferred. •At least 1-2 years of experience in a maintenance or similar role. •Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. •Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams. •Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. •Must be able to lift heavy equipment and work in various conditions, including confined spaces or at heights. •Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Schedule: •Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. •Availability for on-call emergencies outside regular shift hours is required. Compensation: •Pay rate: $19.00 to $21.00 per hour.
