Service Manager

Management of Lifecycle Services Facilities in the Nordic countries with focus on business and strategy in addition to operational management. 

This role needs to ensure that the department has the right people in the right place (locally and on site) with relevant expertise and innovative portfolio of services in order to meet and exceed customers’ expectations. Contribute to the companies’ goals both financially and strategically. 
Continuous development of the team with highly qualified Engineers; professional skills matching our strategic plan and service business requirements. Optimizing execution processes based on the latest methodologies, internal and external standards, and efficient use of Emerson Center of Excellences.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Management of Lifecycle Services Facilities in the Nordic countries with focus on business and strategy in addition to operational management. Securing high standards of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality. Securing overall customer happiness by recognizing and addressing their operational needs in a customer-minded environment. Fulfilling Emerson’s contractual obligations on all customer service level agreements and contracts. Responsible for budgeting, cost center control, financial reporting and forecasting of service business. Improving efficiency by adopting proven methods, standards, and tools aligned with the strategy. Proactively address and take ownership of customer and partner concerns related to service engineering. Cooperate with the Service Managers and Upgrade Manager in the Northern Region Work with the Engineering and Projects: Alignment on organization and capacity for both service and project execution Work with the Sales team/Service Sales Manager, in defining global planning for the execution of service contracts and growing the service business within Nordics.  Streamline service execution and administration with the European and global Emerson Services organization. Acquire and maintain knowledge of Emerson products and related equipment/services, their uses, and applications.  Promote commercial metrics within the service group, encouraging delivery to budgets and the prioritisation of change management. Other responsibilities or tasks that are within your skills and abilities, whenever reasonably instructed. Business

Participates in strategic business planning and annual budgeting processes. Understand market trends and ensure that service capabilities are in alignment with Emerson's strategic direction. Drive the European Lifecycle Services programs in the countries.

Leadership

Improve and build upon the ability to generate profit for customers through expertise in service business by prioritizing organization development. Drive and embed a culture of continuous improvement of performance and innovation to deliver improved efficiency and speed of execution. Manage, coach and develop direct reports within the team.

DIMENSIONS AND SCOPE 

Total number of Direct reports to this position:  5 – 7 (size of the team: 45) Interfaces: Project Team, Engineering Team, Sales, Finance, Internal service teams including COE’s, customer executives and decision makers, suppliers, other Emerson divisions at the executive level, EPCs, Service Managers Northern Region Key Measures: Bookings, Sales, TWC, GP, Customer Satisfaction, Cost center recovery Travel is required between facilities.

For This Role, You Will Need:

BSc degree in engineering or equivalent work experience. 5 + years hands-proven experience in line / people management  Must be able to negotiate and finalize technical matters and come up with the best performance/price contracts for Emerson and the customer. Must also be capable of defending Emerson's interest in business negotiations with respect to cost and profits.  Skills for organizational issue as planning, strategy both long term and short term, overview of assigned team activities and daily group activity scheduling 

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

Capable of working under stress and high performance / expectations pressure  Acquires and maintains an overall knowledge of all Emerson products and related equipment/services, their uses, and applications.  Demonstrated experience of minimum three years in similar position (service, inside sales, product support, etc.) Experience of developing customer relationships. Local language skills with proficient English (verbal and written); excellent communicator
