POSITION SUMMARY

 

Manages teams of service technicians through service supervisors in the safe and efficient servicing of commercial industry trades, equipment, components & systems.

 

What you’ll do:

 

Manages assigned teams typically lead by supervisors. Manages and monitors team performance.  Communicates goals and provides performance appraisals to direct reports. Provides coaching, training and development plans as appropriate.  Manages teams to meet growth and profitability goals. Ensures technicians adhere to all legal, regulatory compliance, safety and risk management policies and procedures.  Provides technical support and guidance to supervisor and technicians as needed. Assists with service quotes and estimates to support sales and growth initiatives.  Assists sales staff, as requested, with collecting data necessary to assemble accurate and timely service estimates.  Manages and reviews financial statements, sales and activity reports, or other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievements and identifies areas needing cost reduction or program improvement.  Monitors work performed on maintenance contracts to ensure costs remain at or below the predetermined amount.    Coordinates with account managers to discuss and fully understand customer scope of service prior to assuming responsibility for new maintenance contracts.    Visits job sites to evaluate technician abilities, performance and safety compliance. Manages the selection, ordering and delivery of supplies and equipment for technicians on assigned projects. Strengthens customer relationship and investigates customer complaints to help remedy the situation and promptly implement corrective measures as required. Identifies trends and recommends sustainable solution to the next level of management as appropriate. Actively involved in the hiring, development and counseling of employees, including developing and conducting group meetings and training employees. Preforms additional assignments as requested/needed.

 

What you’ll need to be successful:

 

High school degree or GED 7 years of experience performing service maintenance and repair work within the mechanical industry, including lead experience OSHA-30 certification (if not currently certified, must be obtained within six (6) months from date of hire) Valid U.S driver license and clean driving record Successful completion of a trade/technical training program preferred Working knowledge of business/industry practices, processes and standards Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and problem solving skills Ability to successfully lead a team and motivate workers Good Microsoft Office skills and other related business application
