Job Summary Work Shift 1 - First Shift Are you the type of person who enjoys problem solving and troubleshooting as it relates to machine performance. In this role you will lead and assist the daily operations of a Vermeer technical support team. We’re looking for an experienced individual with a passion for customer support through professional technical expertise What You’ll Do 1. Exhibit the Vermeer characteristics of caring culture, demonstrating agility, customer focused and stewardship while modeling the associated behaviors. 2. Assist and guide team members and Vermeer dealership as it pertaining to machine troubleshooting and performance. 3. Oversee and develop key product support deliverables to ensure successful new product launches. 4. Lead the formal field service communications program. 5. Coordinate and occasionally participate in travel to dealers and customers, both domestically and internationally, to help with technical situations. 6. Oversee and participate in the development of Service-related training programs, such as training videos, virtual, and in-person presentations. What We’re Looking For - Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Ag Systems Technology, or related field with minimum of ten years experience. - Related field experience in heavy industrial equipment maintenance, technician expertise, management skills, - Knowledge of heavy equipment, parts, service, warranty, and engineering. - Ability to provide informative and professional assistance when working with the customers and co-workers and maintain positive interpersonal relationships. Travel - Occasional travel is expected of this position. Work Location ONSITE: A team member’s day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
