Summary:

This position is an entry-level position responsible for performing technical service duties on paper machines in various customer locations to support Fabric and Roll business. This role is intended to allow development of skills and knowledge of Voith products, customer processes, relationship building and the sales process, ultimately serving as a pathway to a Sales Representative position in the future.

 

The primary responsibility of this position is to work with the Southwest sales team to support the current business and help execute the growth strategy for the region.  This includes gaining an understanding of customer goals and needs and helping coordinate Voith’s response to those needs.  This position works closely with the key decision makers in each customer account and with various functions internal to Voith.

 

Responsibilities:

Utilize tools, training, and awareness to ensure you are working safely at all times. Build relationships with customers and decision makers to develop and encourage sales growth. Communicate regularly with sales manager and team members to ensure proper account coverage, service activities and outage support – both planned and unplanned. Collaborate with Voith customer service, manufacturing, applications, and administrative support to accomplish objectives. Maintain the customer relationship using various software (SalesForce, Global Vision, etc).  Make sales and service calls to customer mills to promote sales.  Perform routine inspections and technical service functions. Respond to unscheduled outages and specific needs as they arise.  Coordinate / assist in installations.  Keep the appropriate database updated for inventory management.  Promote value-added products and technical services and present any necessary data analysis or reports for customer understanding and acceptance.

 

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.  Secondary education preferred. Experience in technical / industrial sales or experience in the paper industry preferred. Willingness to travel frequently, primarily by car.  Overnight hotel stays required at times. Good communication skills required, both verbal and written. Analytical thinking and familiarity with standard Microsoft software programs required.
