Position Summary:The Service Sales Specialist position will hold responsibility for developing new business throughout the Americas for Bio- Techne’s Analytical Solutions Division, managed from the Bio-Techne Minneapolis headquarters, and for achieving sales quota for instrument service contracts and related service products. This includes responsibilities in finding new protein analysis instrument opportunities for Simple Western, Maurice, MFI, Milo, and Single Cell Western (Milo), and supporting service sales of applicable instruments in partnership with our inside and field sales team. By working closely with your sales colleagues and marketing you will source new business from new leads and prospects as well as existing customers. In the position you will be expected to develop and maintain a high level of academic and pharmaceutical market knowledge.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Source and develop new business:Under the direction of the Sales Manager, develop and drive new/existing business opportunities throughout North America.Use a selection of channels in order to identify and qualify new business opportunities, including inbound lead follow up, outbound warm and cold calls, emails, Teams, and social media.Look to implement new and innovative strategies in order to identify new business and revenue streams.Keep all channels of communication open with internal and external sales teams, lead generation and marketing within Bio-Techne.Maintain awareness and knowledge of marketplace and competitors. Report findings and potential pipeline through an agreed upon cadence (weekly, monthly, quarterly) to the Sales Manager.Instrument service sales:
Responsible for achieving specified service sales quote in assigned territory.Consults with prospective customers on their current and future business needs.Maintains CRM database with any contact made with leads and/or customers.Provide accurate sales forecasting in consultation with supervisor and field sales teams.Identify process improvements and work with Sales Manager to prioritize accordingly. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a biological based subject. Immunology coursework and/or experience is a big plus.
