Local Division Manager - UK ELSE
Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to supervise a team of service engineers and technicians, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of service offerings, solutions, and projects to customers. Each day, you will contribute to the execution of service strategy and growth by focusing on cost-effective service delivery and adherence guidelines. You will also showcase your expertise by driving service achievements through resource planning, allocation, training and the effective implementation of standard procedures and safety protocols.This role is contributing to the Electrification, Service Division in the United Kingdom. Main stakeholders are Service Engineers, Project Managers, Local Division Manager, Health and Safety Advisor, and the Sales and Marketing team.You will be mainly accountable for:•Managing a team of service professionals, guiding their development, and ensuring effective organization and direction within your area of responsibility•Responsible for efficient and timely duties of resource allocation - Coordinates, plans, schedules and oversees all Service jobs with necessary resources, spare parts and logistics for site •Manage team performance against set individual and team KPI’s and agreed personal objectives•Undertake annual target setting for the team based on the Service strategic priorities•Ensure training and development of Team members and Contractors in line with ABB requirements.
Qualifications for the roleStrong background in a power service environment (switchgear, power electronics, UPS or relevant similar field) Proven experience in working in the field on electrical switchgear, desirable if also has team leader experienceElectrical qualification C&G, HNC or equivalentPossess an enhanced knowledge of site deployment and management of electrical craft engineers at customers sitesWillingness to become an ECAP assessor – will be trainedFull clean driving license valid in the UKGreat teamwork, organisation and communication skills
