We are looking for experienced Service Technicians to perform maintenance, repairs and service activities, including refurbishments, upgrades, preventative maintenance and corrective actions on Rapp Marine, MacGregor and equivalent equipment. Maintaining productive team and customer relationships as well as ensuring Best Practices are applied in all service related activities.
Main tasks and responsibilities Work with lead mechanics onboard of fishing vessels and in the shop. Remove heavy equipment and rebuild Maintain equipment with hydraulic and electrical systems; follow technical drawing, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications, Class requirements. Perform maintenance and repairs on shipboard equipment (e.g. Cranes, Stern Ramps, Hatch covers, winches) Perform repairs on more advanced equipment as needed Perform breakdown analysis Safety, and audit standards Work independently under limited supervision (self-management) Documentation of work schedule and work tasks completed What you’ll need to succeedEducation
Commercial or Technical background preferred. Minimum requirement high school diploma or GED Preference will be given to Veteran’s and those with advance technical degree and/or training
Experience
At least one (1) year of experience in mechanical or electrical troubleshooting, and equipment repairs. Experience with mechanical systems Еxperience with conveyers Experience with electronics Experience with pumps Experience in rigging large equipment. Able to read/understand hydraulic and electrical schematics Experience in maritime, commercial and/or large electronic equipment a plus
