Job Description

Our client has an immediate opening in the service department for a Field Service Helper/Assistant. This role involves assisting a Field Service Technician with preventative and corrective maintenance of industrial compressors. General responsibilities include running parts/tools, lifting pumps, and performing basic mechanical work. Additional tasks include parts pick-ups, customer deliveries, and in-shop preventive maintenance on compressors.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to enter the trade field who is mechanically inclined and good with tools, but may not have a lot of experience. You will have the chance to learn on the job by shadowing and assisting a technician, with the goal of transitioning to a full-time outside Field Service Technician within approximately six months.

Work Environment

The Service Technician role is primarily in-state, with 90% of work located in Portland and the Portland Metro area. The work environment includes commercial and industrial settings.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of PORTLAND, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00
