Service Technician
Shift 1 (United States of America)

50% travel but home on most weekends! Per diem, credit card provided! "NOT an IT Tech role".

Unifiller (a brand of Coperion) is looking for a Service Technician to join our team, with this position based in Arizona servicing customers primarily located in North America. 

As the Service Technician: when travelling you will primarily be responsible for the technical service, training, and commissioning of Unifiller equipment at the Customer site; and when working from home you will be responsible for responding to customers calling in or emailing the Service Department looking for assistance. The Service Technician must be able to tackle assignments with minimal supervision.

Work You’ll Do:

Service Technician

When travelling (primarily in North America) you will perform on-site installations & commissioning of new equipment, servicing existing equipment, and training customers on how to best utilize their Unifiller equipment. 

While in the field, you will also visit customers around the area of the service calls to ensure maximized customer care.

When working from home you will be responding to incoming emails and calls from customers seeking assistance, and continual learning.

Manage customer expectations and maintain rapport with customers while examining complaints and identifying solutions

Provide technical support on custom products with customers

Document and provide detailed Daily Trip Reports, and submit Expense Reports, in a timely manner.

Service trip preparation and coordinating travel plans with the Field Service Coordinator.

Possibility of International travel upon request

Assess potential sales opportunities at Customers’ site (I.e. spare parts); suggest improved methods and techniques; recommend system improvements

Exhibit a professional attitude and image with a commitment to quality service

Carries out other duties as assigned 

Basic Qualifications:

3 years of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and controls experience including, Allen Bradley and other PLC control systems and HMI panel screens

Experience with mechanical devices that are powered by electricity and/or compressed air

Ability to solve problems independently and make improvement recommendations 

Experienced with Device Net/CanBUS/Ethernet industrial networks 

Proficient with MS Office, with excellence in Word and MS Project 

Capacity to interact with a variety of individuals from different backgrounds and cultures 

Available to travel at least 50% of the time (approx. 2 weeks away, 2 weeks at home and varies depending on customer need).

Must have a valid Passport for international travel and a valid driver’s license 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience as a Service Technician travelling to customers’ facilities

Experience in the industrial food or bakery industry

Bilingual English/Spanish (spoken & written)
