Service Technician
**Job Title: Service Technician** **Job Description** As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and servicing tow tractors, baggage carts, buses, trucks, and service vans. You will maintain heavy equipment that includes hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical machinery, inspect ground support vehicles and equipment to determine whether repairs are needed, and troubleshoot issues with vehicles and machinery as necessary to make repairs. Additionally, you will schedule periodic maintenance for ground support vehicles, maintain a clean and safe repair shop, track inventory of parts and tools needed for repairs and maintenance, and maintain repair logs for vehicles and equipment. **Responsibilities** + Repair and service tow tractors, baggage carts, buses, trucks, and service vans. + Maintain heavy equipment including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical machinery. + Inspect ground support vehicles and equipment to determine repair needs. + Troubleshoot issues with vehicles and machinery to make necessary repairs. + Schedule periodic maintenance for ground support vehicles. + Maintain a clean and safe repair shop. + Track inventory of parts and tools needed for repairs and maintenance. + Maintain repair logs for vehicles and equipment. **Essential Skills** + Automotive maintenance and engine repair. + Ability to use hand tools and power tools to repair ground support vehicles and equipment. + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. + Ability to read repair manuals for various types of vehicles and equipment. + Excellent mechanical repair skills. + Ability to follow instructions. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school diploma or equivalent required. + Previous related experience preferred. + On-the-job training provided. + Prolonged periods working on vehicles. + Must be physically able to access vehicles either by kneeling or lying on back. + Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time. **Why Work Here?** This position offers room for growth and on-the-job training, providing an excellent opportunity to advance your career. **Work Environment** You must be able to work part of each day in the Colorado elements, with approximately 30% of time spent outdoors. There is no overtime required. Openings are available on 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and Weekend Shift. Shifts run as follows: 1st Shift from 6:00am-2:30pm, 2nd Shift from 2:00pm-10:30pm, and 3rd Shift from 10:00pm-6:30am. Weekend Shift runs Thursday to Monday or Friday to Tuesday, with a 'Day Shift' from 6:00am-2:30pm. You must be willing to work either Saturday or Sunday, as well as holidays. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denver, Colorado. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $28.50 - $33.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
