**Job Title: Service Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Service Technician to join our team. This position involves installing, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial and commercial overhead doors and loading docks. The role requires interaction with customers to understand equipment issues and performing mechanical repairs on forklifts (minor aspect). The work involves dealing with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, and electrical systems up to 480 volts. **Responsibilities** + Install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial overhead doors and loading docks + Handle dock equipment involving mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems + Perform electrical work including motor controls up to 480 volts + Interact with customers to understand and resolve equipment issues + Perform minor mechanical repairs on forklifts + Conduct installations, wiring, and fabrication tasks + Utilize blueprints and schematics for field service and preventative maintenance + Operate hand tools and welding equipment + Maintain and service equipment as needed **Essential Skills** + Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills + Proficiency in mechanical repairs on forklifts, overhead doors, and dock equipment + Experience with minor electrical work, installation, and wiring + Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Ability to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance + Valid driver’s license + Capability to climb ladders up to 40 feet **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Mechanical aptitude + Experience with field service and preventative maintenance + Proficiency with hand tools and welding + Steel-toed shoes required + No specific education or certifications required **Why Work Here?** We offer a supportive and family-oriented work environment with several benefits including company cell phone or a $20 monthly reimbursement, competitive pay with tenured technicians earning up to $30 per hour, in-house training, 50% paid insurance, 401K match, and a vacation accrual system where employees earn half a day of vacation every 30 days, amounting to two weeks after the first year. **Work Environment** The role involves working in industrial maintenance facilities and docks, with daily travel and significant outdoor work.
