Job Title: Service Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a Flooring Solutions Technician Level 2 to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. The role involves servicing our fleet of industrial scrubbers, concrete grinders, and floor sweepers. You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting small engines, and utilizing various tools to ensure our rental equipment is in top condition.

ResponsibilitiesPerform daily meetings to discuss tasks and updates.Conduct preventative maintenance and troubleshoot both electric and petroleum small engines.Disassemble and reassemble products to diagnose and perform repairs.Utilize hand tools, power tools, measuring tools, and specialty tools to service equipment.Ensure rental equipment is serviced and repaired before being rented again.Communicate professionally with clients and team members.Perform check-ins when equipment is returned to the shop.Assist with loading and unloading of equipment as needed.Clean, pressure wash, and prep equipment for repairs and rent-ready status.Perform full-service maintenance, diagnose, and repair most mechanical problems.Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to safety standards.Keep track of rental equipment inventory and coordinate deliveries, pick-ups, and service calls.Maintain the warehouse area and ensure proper maintenance of all equipment.Source and manage the inventory of parts and supplies.Complete and maintain equipment service records, including damage repair, preventative maintenance, and warranty processing.Ensure decals are replaced and equipment is cleaned and detailed.Operate the company vehicle safely and maintain a valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.Keep records and maintain the company vehicle, including washing, oil changes, and general safety inspections.Maintain and track company tools and supplies.Oversee and maintain the wash bay area to ensure proper maintenance and a safe, clean work environment.Communicate professionally with customers, managers, and sales engineers to schedule deliveries, pick-ups, and service calls.Complete appropriate paperwork for deliveries, pick-ups, and service calls.

Essential Skills3-5 years of mechanic experience with IC engines, propane, electrical, and hydraulic systems.High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training desired.Must provide own mechanic's tools of trade.Excellent troubleshooting skills.Ability to prioritize work assignments and work independently.Flexibility with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.High degree of safety awareness.Working knowledge of equipment design and safety requirements.Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
