Job Description

  

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Canadian Service & Operations Manager within the After Market Solutions vertical, the incumbent performs the diagnosis and repair of complex thermal imaging products and systems, resulting in the timely and accurate provision of services to our Canadian customer base. Work assignments are performed in a team setting with the requisite level of supervision based on skill level and experience.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

•    Reviews incoming orders and related documentation to ensure service actions are aligned with customer expectations.

•    Performs diagnosis, repair, service, support, and upgrades to Teledyne FLIR thermal imaging products.

•    Receives training and performs all service actions in accordance with global trade compliance (GTC), ISO 9001:2015, ATEX and NFPA policies and procedures.

•    Provides technical support in the maintenance of customer service spare parts inventory, including establishing requirements for contents and quantities.

•    Conducts routine quality checks on completed service work.

•    Supports service business growth by promoting premium service offerings, accessory sales, and service maintenance agreements.

•    Contributes to the accomplishment of service team goals for revenue, cost management, and turn-around time.

•    Performs routine temperature calibrations on thermal imaging products as directed.

Position Qualifications:

•    3-year technical diploma or equivalent work experience.

•    Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills, proficient with using electronic test equipment required (i.e., oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, signal generators).

•    Experience writing technical reports.

•    Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.

•    Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge.

•    Strict attention to detail; demonstrated ability to follow instructions.

•    Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, SAP, Oracle.

•    Good interpersonal communication skills.

•    Customer service experience.

This position requires access to export-controlled information or items (i.e. regulated technology or technical data per ITAR/EAR US regulations). Applicants must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
