Service Technician - Northern Ireland

Job Description

Overview:

At Henry Schein our Service Technicians are responsible for forging great relationships with our customers through the delivery, installation, modification, repair and routine servicing of dental equipment. Our Service Technicians are field based, and this role covers our Northern Ireland territory. The successful applicant will be responsible for responding promptly and effectively to customer needs, on-site within dental practices or dental treatment facilities, providing "right first time" service and trusted advice.

Job Responsibilities:

The role holder will be expected to be responsible for the following:

Install equipment for customers by working with the dentist and other team members.

To install equipment according to drawings agreed by the customer.  Use tools for assembly, fixing, electrical wiring and plumbing, etc.

To ensure the equipment functions correctly by checking for leaks, noises, etc, during operation.

To install dental equipment to manufacturers specifications, to pre-installed services provided by others.

To install equipment to the highest possible standard within the allocated time period.

To install into new / existing equipment secondary devices.

Follow all installation instructions to provide total customer satisfaction.

To demonstrate installed equipment so the customer understands and is happy with its operation.

To leave the working site clean and tidy wherever possible.

To behave as a good ambassador of the company at all times, so the customer will be happy to do further business.

To liaise between Installation Supervisor, Salesman and Customer to resolve any unclear issues.

Maintain good records of installations / Company equipment, tools, car, phone.

Undertake cabinetry modifications / manufacturers warranty work.

Job Skills & Experience Required:

To succeed in this role, you’ll need the following:

Demonstrable electrical experience

Certification of Electrical Installation work which includes practical experience. 

Good level of numeracy and literacy

Working knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical and electrical systems, x-rays, air and water systems

Experience of similar products desirable, but not a requirement - training direct from the manufacturers is provided

Strong customer interpersonal skills

Full, clean driving licence and the willingness to travel across Northern Ireland and, when required, into Ireland to support our regional Engineers.
