The National Security Sector at Leidos is seeking an experienced ITIL Framework focused IT professional to serve as a Senior Service Transition Engineer and Change Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting best-in-class Tier 2 Service Transition operations in a purpose-built enterprise environment throughout the operational lifecycle of customer directed mission applications. Will take charge of change management initiatives using a structured methodology to guide them through implementation, collaborating with other key stakeholders. Qualified applicants must be creative problem solvers able to perform expertly under dynamic conditions and evolving priorities, facilitating complex service transitions with minimal negative operational impact. The candidate will be required to work collaboratively and constructively as both an individual and as part of a team with internal and external program entities, including Tier 1, Tier 3 and on-site customer representatives. Though this is an 8x5 position, applicants must be available to provide out-of-band support as required.
Primary Responsibilities
Coordinate, facilitate, and verify Tier 2 software support and mission application serviceFacilitate the Enterprise software and system configuration management, change management and Request for Change (RFC) processesEnsure mission and baseline stability throughout service transition activitiesEmploy ingenuity and creativity to develop and implement new solutions to complex technical issues and problems in order to achieve functional objectives.Ensure completion and accuracy of maintenance and operations documentationCreate and manage projects to ensure successful service transition within budgetDocument change management processes, conduct impact analyses, organize change management strategies and act as chair of change advisory board meetingsEnsures mission and baseline protection during service transition activitiesProvide training in service transition and project management to team members as requiredBasic Qualifications
U.S. citizen with an active TS/SCI with a polygraph requiredBachelor’s Degree and 8-12 years of applicable experience, relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree on a case-by-case basis.Experience with ITIL Framework supporting service transition for Mission Critical SystemsFamiliarity with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycleAbility to communicate effectively with internal team members, customers, and external stake holders across multiple technical areasPreferred Qualifications
Current DoD 8570.01m IAT-II or higher certification (e.g. Security+ CE)ITIL v3 Foundation or higher CertificationMission-specific technical knowledge and operations experienceExpert knowledge of and ability to apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts in support of the ITIL Framework Service Transition processProven experience with one or more of the following procedural disciplines in an enterprise environment:ITSMSystems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) using the NSIS process frameworkProject ManagementProven experience with one or more of the following technical disciplines in an enterprise environment:Information system security, including IAVA management and ICD 503 complianceEnterprise management tool implementation and maintenanceUnix, Linux, or Windows operating system management, including scripting (e.g. PyThon, BaSH, XML)Ability to drive performance of a team based on influence rather than authorityOriginal Posting Date:2024-10-30While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.
Pay Range:Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
