Service Warehouse and Distribution Center Manager
Job Description SummaryGE HealthCare in Salt Lake City needs a new Service Warehouse and Distribution Center Manager for a warehouse/distribution team that is responsible for the incoming and outgoing of field service parts as well as managing incoming systems, and outgoing shipments for refurb, manufacturing and China made products. In this role you will supervise the daily shift activities and works with team members to cultivate a winning attitude and creative work environment while being accountable for the training, development and performance management of the team.

Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities

Works with other managers throughout manufacturing to generate continuous improvement ideas and spearheads the implementation of those ideas that lead to bottom line results

Track and report metrics in their functional area to include labor hour consumption, work order completion, inventory accuracy, throughput, capacity, and customer complaints. Establish team goals that meet or exceed established quality standards

Develop and manage operational budget for their functional area

Monitoring and improving productivity, while ensuring all customer commitments are met in a timely, quality, and cost-conscious manner

Developing and creating training plans to maximize workforce capability while driving LEAN manufacturing implementation

Cultivate an environment that prioritizes safety and adherence to EHS expectations

Responsible for the development, growth and coaching of the team

Participate in and lead Lean and continuous improvement events

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 3 years production, supply chain experience or leadership, or High School diploma/GED and a minimum of 7 years of production or supply chain or leadership experience.

Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams.

Demonstrated ability to identify and implement Best Practices and deal with high levels of ambiguity.

Desired Characteristics

MBA or Master's Degree

Demonstrated ability to identify & implement best practices

Demonstrated ability to perform with high levels of ambiguity

Prior Team Leading experience

OMLP/ETLP graduate

Prior lean and continuous improvement experience
