A Service Writer is responsible for assisting customers with their vehicle repair needs. Their duties include greeting customers, informing them about the types of services their store offers, updating customers on the progress of their vehicle repairs, offering free vehicle road-ready inspections, and processing customer transactions upon completion of their vehicle repairs. This position requires being friendly and hospitable to all customers who come through the door to provide the exceptional customer experience
What you'll do as: Service Writer
- Serve as a customer relationship manager
- Serve as a link between customers and different departments
- Interact with customers, field their questions, and provide accurate and timely responses.
- Communicate effectively with customers and service technicians to streamline operations.
- Schedule appointments, enter orders, monitor service progress, calculate charges, and process payments.
- Order products that are needed to fulfill customer needs from wholesale or 3rd party vendors
- Interact with customers and provide timely responses

- Order products from vendors
Work Experience
This position will be either 2:00p-10:00p or split shift.
The preferred candidate might:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Tech savvy for point-of-sale system (training provided but computer knowledge is required)
- Retail sales or front counter experience
- High School diploma or GED
- 10 key calculator skills
