Transdev in Midland, TX is hiring a Service Writer to intake customer calls and repair requests and ensure the efficient operation and control of work requests.  The Service Writer will directly interact with all departments and individual operators. Provide customer satisfaction through clerical, shop and telephone support. We are seeking friendly, customer service-oriented people who are dedicated to safety.   Transdev is proud to offer:  Competitive compensation package of minimum $18.00 – Maximum $22.00 Benefits include:Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks Sick days: 5 daysHolidays: 8 days; 7 standard and 1 floating Other standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability. Key Responsibilities:  Answer customer calls and open work requests immediately upon receipt. Assist Manager/Supervisor in scheduling work for technicians on duty and monitoring their repair progress. Schedule PM requests and ensure PM scheduled repairs are monitored and completed within the required time limit. Data entry into spreadsheets and databases. Communicate correct information on estimated repair times to the client/operators. Ensure that Operators that are waiting for their vehicles to be completed are in the proper waiting area and are updated on the completion repair time for their vehicle on a timely basis. Resolve service-related complaints and communicate with the Manager/Supervisor to mitigate issues. Other duties as required.Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. 2 years of customer service experience. Computer literate Excellent communication and listening skills. Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.    Physical Requirements: Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
