Deliver simple solutions to complex problems as a ServiceNow Configuration Manager at GDIT. Here, you’ll tailor cutting-edge solutions to the unique requirements of our clients. The ServiceNow Configuration Manager will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing Configuration Management processes, with a focus on ServiceNow and CMDB (Configuration Management Database) development. This role requires advanced expertise in creating and maintaining technical relationships, dynamic CI groups, and service mappings, as well as ensuring comprehensive configuration control during all phases of the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in ServiceNow development, CMDB administration, and stakeholder collaboration, and will contribute to driving technology release strategy, execution, and continuous improvement.

HOW A SERVICENOW CONFIGURATION MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
ServiceNow CMDB Management:
Design and establish configuration management documentation, ensuring alignment with best practicesCreate and maintain dynamic CI (Configuration Item) groups and relationships within the CMDBDevelop and implement ServiceNow service mappings to align technical and business servicesConfigure and manage transform maps to automate CI creation and modification processesEnsure data integrity and consistency in the CMDB by adhering to industry standardsConfiguration Control and Documentation:
Authorize the release of drawings and changes specified by Program Management and other functional groupsProvide advice and guidance on methods, procedures, and requirements to individuals responsible for documentationManage and track all configuration items, including their relationships and dependencies, within the ServiceNow platformDevelopment and Automation:
Build, configure, and customize application modules, panels, and reports in ServiceNowDevelop tools and scripts to enhance build and release processes, focusing on automation and efficiencyDesign a pipeline that minimizes manual involvement and fosters continuous improvementCollaborate with other departments to implement best practices for release tools and processes, improving productivityDrive technology release strategy, execution, and improvements across the development lifecycleTesting and Troubleshooting:
