We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT professional to develop and enhance new functionality and capabilities in Pearson’s hardware and software asset management processes. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our Software Asset Management (SAM) workflows, integrations, and related processes, and is primarily responsible for the ongoing development and performance of established Hardware Asset and Software Asset Management processes in partnership with platform architects and service owners. As an ITAM developer, you will be accountable for integration development and maintenance, configuration identification and control, and collaboration with IT Operations Management (ITOM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), and Service Management teams within the ServiceNow platform. 

Ideal candidates have a background in ServiceNow development and implementation of both Discovery and Asset Management capabilities.  

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

Responsible for the developing enhancements to existing Hardware and Software asset management processes in the ServiceNow platform 

Collaborates with process owners to support user acceptance testing of enhancements and regular platform upgrades 

Responsible for the documentation of workflow process and support of QA team members’ efforts to validate processes in multiple environments 

Supports platform leadership with reporting and dashboard creation and maintenance to drive increased visibility into the effectiveness of asset processes 

Partners with other platform developers to refine and document best practices 

Supports incident remediation and bug identification in relation to asset management and configuration management issues as they arise 

Collaborates with team members in support of continual improvement and training, sharing experience and challenging the status quo 

  

Minimum requirements: 

Active ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator (CSA) certification 

Active implementation specialist certifications in at least one Asset Management module (Hardware, Software, or Enterprise) 

Experience with implementation of ServiceNow modules 

Understanding of the CMDB as it relates to assets and their lifecycles 

Strong written communication skills and detailed documentation behaviors 

Specialized knowledge of defining, documenting, and implementing Asset Management and Configuration Management processes for both hardware and software CIs 

Experience with REST API development
