Responsibilities

Ascension Technologies is seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Product Owner to join our team and act as the primary liaison between the ServiceNow platform team and our business and technology stakeholders across the modules of the ServiceNow platform but with a primary focus on the Application Portfolio Management (APM), Service Portfolio Management (SPM) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) modules. Job Summary:
As a Sr. ServiceNow Product Owner: You will be responsible for representing the ServiceNow platform, in an agile environment, and working collaboratively with our business and technology stakeholders to ensure the successful and ongoing design, development, deployment and/or enhancement of the ServiceNow platform. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand the business problems they are trying to solve for, identify use cases, and develop user stories with acceptance criteria and mock-ups to build against. You will ensure alignment of the platform with Ascension best practices for people process, data and technology in your assigned modules and support other product owners to as needed. You will be responsible for continually grooming and maintaining a product backlog and road map while working with these stakeholders, as well as other product owners and the platform team to deliver a future that supports the goals and objectives of Ascension, Ascension Technologies and our Ministries.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the primary point of contact between the ServiceNow platform, platform team and Ascension business and technology stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and collaboration throughout the product lifecycle.Gather and document, as user stories and acceptance criteria, business requirements, from internal business and technology stakeholders, ensuring alignment with ServiceNow best practices and organizational objectives.Collaborate with the business and technology stakeholders to design, develop and refine product backlogs and roadmaps across the ServiceNow platform with a focus on Application Portfolio Management, Service Portfolio Management and the CMDB.Review and validate ServiceNow configurations, customizations, enhancements, and workflows to ensure they meet business needs and meet technical standards.Engage in and support functional testing as needed, oversee user acceptance testing (UAT), as well as deployment and go-live activities, ensuring a smooth transition to the ServiceNow platform.Provide input on ServiceNow platform upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities, ensuring alignment with the overall IT strategy and minimizing disruptions to business operations.Develop and implement performance metrics, KPIs, and reporting tools to monitor the effectiveness of your assigned modules/areas in ServiceNow and their respective processes and identify areas for improvement.Facilitate training sessions and workshops for end-users and IT staff to ensure effective and continued adoption of the ServiceNow platform.Ensure compliance with APM, SPM and CMDB policies, standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the product lifecycle.Stay up to date with the latest ServiceNow features, updates, and industry trends to provide informed recommendations for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

3 to 5 years of experience as a product owner in ServiceNow across multiple modules and capabilities, with a strong focus on Application Portfolio Management, Service Portfolio Management, the CMDB and the CMDB as it relates to Asset and Config.Experience working in a product and stakeholder facing role, ideally in collaboration with business and technology stakeholders.Proven experience in designing, implementing, and enhancing multiple ServiceNow modules as well as APM, SPM, CMDB and asset and config processes, workflows, and automation on the ServiceNow platform.Strong understanding of ServiceNow best practices and experience applying them in an enterprise environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA), ITIL Certification, Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) are highly preferred.Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple priorities in a demanding environment.




Requirements

Education:

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
