ServiceNow System Admin/Analyst

OVERVIEW

We are presently seeking a ServiceNow systems admin/analyst to enhance, maintain and support our enterprise workflow tools including ServiceNow, Okta and Atlassian applications. The position is a highly visible role and a key member of the ISS Information Technology team as these applications are mission critical to the organization to support ISS’s products and services.  As this role is customer-facing, the candidate filling this position must be able to communicate well with co-workers and business teams. Quality is key, as well as the ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into a technical reality that is extendable and maintainable.

This position will support production activities and grow our ServiceNow platform. In this role you will be required to interact with analysts, developers and business power users to understand production issues or enhancement requests, provide recommendations, resolve issues quickly and accurately, prioritize work and build innovative solutions.  This position is responsible for production support, system requirements, design, configuration, testing, and integration of corporate SaaS applications.  This position is also responsible for being able to build reports, dashboards, execute database queries, and learn new tools/systems to help support and provide proper monitoring through best practices. Being able to work independently is critical in this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Proactively engage and support our user groups, including Information Technology, Project Management Office,  Information Security, and Service Management teams to enhance the platform based on business needs, as well as to maintain day to day platform operations.Strong oral and written communication skills. Possesses the ability to gather and analyze requirements and translate business requirements into technical specifications.Conduct day to day production administrative activities, data maintenanceDemonstrated ability to effectively work in a multi-location team environmentDevelop and implement automation workflows to facilitate user provisioning and de-provisioningAssist in data imports/exports and maintain integrations to ServiceNow, Okta and other corporate systems.Ensure configuration, problem, change and release management principles are adhered to.Assist in the design and implementation of new processes and system enhancements.Assist in the testing, deployment and post-launch support of new functionality of workflow platforms such as ServiceNow and Okta,Delivery with quality and ensure business needs are met in accordance with business specifications.Communicate with other ISS teams regarding status, technical issues and creative solutions.Possess sense of urgency with real focus on delivery dates and project completion.Keeps abreast of current and emerging technology in both hardware and software as related to ServiceNow and Okta workflow applicationsIdentify opportunities for improvement and automation of business processesOther duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must have 5+ years professional experience in an IT organization with at least 2 years experience with ServiceNow Administration & IT Service Desk/Help Desk ManagementMust have at least a Bachelor’s degree or higherPreferably with ITILv3 or v4 certificationWorking knowledge of web services, webhooks, system architecture, user management, application security and compliance. Postman API experience is a plus.Experience with basic excel data analysis (Formulas, Pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s etc).Project management and/or business analysis experience is an advantage.Ability to learn new concepts, integrate new development languages and business processes rapidly with the enthusiasm to drive new initiatives & projects forward, and to understand data structure and translate business requirements.Experience with auditing and data integrity across various different platforms. Preferably with experience in handling API, SQL, Okta, AD, and LDAP. Able to remain calm and focused in a highly pressurized and time orientated environment.Strong critical thinking, analytic and problem solving abilities.
