Procurement Policy
Comply with service contracts procedure and with the company’s procurement strategy in order to ensure access to high quality and competitively priced services and support the achievement of corporate production objectives

Market Knowledge
Research profiles of domestic and international supplier and gather data as instructed

Supplier Relationship Management
Maintain organized record of supplier contact information and correspondence to enable quick reference to information as required

Requirement Planning and Coordination
Support coordination of activities with others to ensure that planned and actual procurement activities meet the needs of SSC on an ongoing basis
Participate in planning and preparation for future tender activity in the current and next business year
Prepare annual budget figures
Coordination responsibilities with other functions are undertaken and completed accurately, meeting specified standards and within agreed timeframes

Process
Evaluate, outsource, and employ services to conduct repairs, maintenance works, and other technical needs of the manufacturing plant
Conduct commercial evaluation of tender bids for prices, breakups and options - review and submit report to enable decision making on tender awards
Procurement processes for services completed in a professional and timely manner to appropriate standards of service

Staff and Self Development
Number of nationals nurtured and trained within the department (in particular from the Southern Regions)
Existing staff have a good working knowledge of SSC procurement procedures and systems, and new staff are inducted appropriately

Qualifications
University graduate with a degree in business administration / engineering / law / commerce or a relevant subject

Experience
Supervisor / 3 yrs & up experienced employees specializing contract preparation and management
Detailed understanding of the relevant procurement process (services or material)
Strong background in supply management, logistics, transport and cost optimization
