Duties: The State University of New York (SUNY) at New Paltz is seeking a Services Coordinator to join our dynamic team of disability services providers within the Disability Resource Center (DRC). The DRC serves approximately one thousand graduate and undergraduate students in a collaborative effort to facilitate equal opportunity and equal access to the campus learning and living environment. The DRC works in conjunction with students and other campus partners to determine and implement reasonable accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act and other relevant legislation.
Duties of the role include but are not limited to:• Coordinate Accommodated Testing Program• Coordinate student note takers• Assist with the coordination of student intakes• Review submitted disability documentation• Conduct student intakes• Serve as a liaison between students and faculty for accommodation purposes• Assist with housing accommodation requests• Student outreach• Support groups and workshops• Meet with students for 1-1 support, as schedule allows
Qualifications: Required:• Bachelor's degree
Preferred:• Master’s degree in Disabilities Studies, Counseling, Sociology, Vocational Rehabilitation or other related field
