Job Description
The Service Architect is responsible for the design and development of managed and support services that facilitate the effective implementation and ongoing operations and maintenance of complex technical solutions. The Service Architect will lead the design activities, collaborating with Product, Supply Chain, I.T. and providing expertise across the service architecture to ensure optimal service delivery.
Main Tasks:
Service Design authority across end-to-end solutions, inclusive of 3rd party operational engagement models and SLA reporting
Advise teams and 3rd parties of services standards, methodologies and processes
Drive service design governance across complex solutions
Develop and maintain end-to-end process and policies, operational interfaces, workflow models
Own the engagement with Managed Services OSS functions, ensuring adherence to standardised configurations and frameworks
Create and maintain design specifications, architectural diagrams, and process diagrams
Lead design workshops with 3rd party suppliers, documenting and testing operational interfaces and working practices in order to meet contract obligations
Create and own Service Design Packages that can be effectively implemented and transferred to operations
Assess customer requirements, ensuring service design compliance
Evaluate customer contracts, identifying risks and financial exposure and provide mitigation strategies either through service design augmentation, or contract amendments
Identify non-standard OSS requirements and engage relevant functions/teams to prioritise implementation
Define organisational requirements, both local and centralised, to enable the delivery of services in accordance with contract obligations
Attend senior management-level meetings to obtain business requirements, offer solutions, and impress best-practice capabilities
Establish regular communications with team and stakeholders, develop and present professional materials.
Basic Requirements
Work experience/competence:
The ideal candidate has
Bachelor’s degree Telecommunication Engineering, Business Information Systems or 8 years industry experience
Demonstrable experience in leading the service design of large complex solutions
Ability to write service delivery architectural design documents or review design documents provided by others
Knowledge and understanding of industry trends and new technologies and ability to apply trends to service architecture
Experience working with clients to understand their complex requirements and developing the overall service, inclusive of the OSS platform
ITIL v3 or V4 foundation certification, or TOGAF experience desired
Proven ability to effectively communicate complex ideas, issues, concepts and solutions to clients and executive project stakeholders
Experience in Public Safety technologies e.g. Tetra or P25 would be advantageous
Understanding of cellular networks architectures and functionality would be beneficial
Solid foundation in networking concepts, e.g. routing, switching, IP addressing, and Internet routing protocols is beneficial
PMP certification beneficial
Must possess a strong desire for high customer satisfaction
Must have ability to work in fast paced environment, balance priorities and juggle multiple tasks in parallel

Excellent communication skills in both English and German (Native level; verbal, written and presentation required).
