What impact you’ll make

As a leader in Controls Engineering, you will be an active contributor to the Gas Power business and deliver systems and designs that are fundamental to the GE Vernova purpose. You will be responsible for all aspects of Controls engineering to protect, operate and control all of GE Vernova Gas Power's services power plant and control upgrade projects, including Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, Plant, Nuclear and Hydro.

Job Description

Lead & manage the Controls Engineering - Services Value Stream. 

Own Heavy Duty Services and Control Solutions & Services uprates, direct and joint projects.     

Lead a global team to define and execute engineering strategy including Hardware and Software design for Mark VIe Gas Turbine and Steam Turbine power train control systems plus broader Plant distributed control systems(DCS) for Heavy Duty Services upgrades and Control Solutions and Services direct upgrade projects. 

Drive team performance on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost KPIs. 

Set and meet capacity vs demand. 

Innovate and lead controls platform and Heavy Duty Services new product design. 

Improve Culture thru building a focused Services controls team. 

You will lead a team of over 300 engineers in executing 250+ annual projects to bring ~5GW of upgraded cleaner & more efficient power on-line each year globally. 

Manage, improve and foster key relationships with the Alliance execution Partner, Multiple internal stakeholders, and several of GE Vernova's largest customers. 

Execute large scale plant customer witness tests and power plant startups each year, controlling & protecting up to $8B in Heavy Duty Services and Control Solutions & Services revenue annually.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.

Minimum of 15 years of design and team leadership experience in the Power Industry

Minimum 10 years of experience of industrial control system design for power plants in simple and combined cycle configurations plus gas and steam turbine unit controls.

Desired Characteristics:

You have experience and knowledge with fossil, nuclear, hydro, and aero-derivative controls.

Advanced knowledge of power plant customers and control system providers

Control system retrofit leadership

You have a proven track record and experience with leading Mark VIe control system designs, and/or with distributed controls systems.

You have a network with Power Generation utility customers and plant operators

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
