Set Up Technician
**Now Hiring: Set Up Technicians** All Shifts Available! **Job Description** The role involves setting up Davenport or Acme equipment, loading machines with bars, starting the machines, inspecting parts for conformance, and making adjustments to ensure quality parts are produced. Training and a development path will be provided. **Responsibilities** + Set up Davenport or Acme equipment. + Load machines with bars and start the machines. + Inspect parts to ensure they conform to quality standards. + Make adjustments to machines to ensure high-quality parts are produced. + Support all company goals and demonstrate initiative. **Essential Skills** + 2 years of machine operating experience. + Ability to read blueprints and schematics. + Experience working in a dirty environment. + Mechanical aptitude. + Proficiency with micrometers and calipers. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required). + Basic computer skills. + Auto mechanic experience (nice to have). + Experience with ACME Gridley (nice to have). + CNC setup experience (nice to have). **Why Work Here?** We offer a supportive work environment with a strong commitment to quality. Metal shavings and oil are common on the floors, although oil scrubbers are used periodically. Employees must wear hearing protection, slip-resistant shoes, and eye protection. The work area is fast-paced and involves handling weights ranging from 10 to 50 pounds. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
