SETA Systems Engineer
Job Title: SETA Systems Engineer

Job Description

Provide systems engineering support from an advisory perspective on space sensing architectures, acquisition documents, technology demonstrations, and product development to ensure compliance with technical requirements. This role is not a technical systems architect but a consultant/SETA to architecture designs, proposals, and acquisitions.

ResponsibilitiesSupport the execution of space sensing architectures and ensure compliance with technical requirements on the contract.Provide technical acquisition and program planning, evaluating space sensing program solicitation technical documentation, System Engineering Plan, Integrated Master Plan, Integrated Master Schedule, and contract deliverables.Analyze space and ground system program plans, current development, test and evaluation, upgrades, operations and sustainment, and program requirements.Ensure contract technical requirements are met for space, payload, and ground hardware.Provide technical expertise in ground systems integration, networking, and software for space sensing programs.Participate in formal program reviews.Provide findings and updates to Space Sensing leadership and assist with briefings up the leadership chain.Document post-test analyses and lessons learned, applying that knowledge to future developmental test criteria and events.Essential SkillsSystems engineeringRequirements managementSETAAcquisitionAerospace engineeringTS/SCI security clearanceGovernment contracting experienceAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field (required). Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for degree requirement. Ideally, a Master's degree.Minimum 10+ years of technical/engineering experience with Major Command level organizations and processes.Technical expertise in ground systems technical integration, networking, and/or software highly desired.Familiarity with Space System Command (formerly Space and Missile Systems Center) procedures highly desired.Excellent and detail-oriented organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills.Advanced-level competency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Must have an active and transferrable DoD Top Secret security clearance with current investigation at the required level. Must be able to maintain the required clearance.Work Environment

This role is based on a military base and involves working in a cleared environment. You will be directly interacting with government officials in an Air Force environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $100.00/hr.
