Title: Settlement Accounting Analyst

Grade: 10

Location: Belgrade, Serbia

Working hours: 2PM - 10PM (Local time)

The Settlement Accounting Analyst will work directly under the supervision of the Payments Settlement Manager. This position will be responsible for the maintenance of daily/monthly balancing for company, clients, and Sponsoring Banks connected to the Clearing & Settlement system. The position will require interfacing with multiple departments to communicate any balancing/reconciliation issues. Other accounting and miscellaneous responsibilities will be assigned related to month-end accounting close process. The Settlement Accounting Analyst will collaborate closely with other members of the Finance, Operations, and Engineering teams across the Payments division within the company.

Specific Skills/Requirements:

Overall accounting experience of 3 to 5 years. Payment experience is a plus that process end-to-end through the payment networks with an understanding of the payment networks, sponsoring bank functioning and funds flow through the payment settlement process a plus.Understanding of GAAP Accounting and financial reporting.Strong analytical skills and detailed orientated.Experience with and the desire to automate processes and reconciliations.Experience working through issues with customers and partners.Ability to work independently.Strong Microsoft Excel skills with ability to work with large volume of data (i.e., Macros, PivotTables, Tableau)Proficient with Microsoft applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel)Experience with QuickBooks and Oracle CloudSuperior problem-solving skills.Works very well in a highly time sensitive and fast paced dynamic environment.Excellent verbal and written communications skillsStrong time management and organizational skills

Additional Roles & Responsibilities:

Month-end validations for Billing, Merchant Statements, etc.Prepare and submit monthly fees for clients that need to be billed.Complete individual client recons by comparing and clearing items between the various data sources and bank records.Identify, research, and resolve any out of balance issues.Consistently look at process and identify opportunities for improvement or streamlining.Prepare and ensure accuracy of all month-end journal.Work closely with Corporate Finance team on monthly close process under mandated closing deadlines.Cross–train as necessary with other accounting functions
