Position Summary:
The Settlements Accountant will be responsible for managing the crude oil financial settlement process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely account reconciliation. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the integrity of financial records and collaborating with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and optimize procedures. This role will be located onsite in Houston, TX.
Essential Duties:
• Manage and coordinate crude oil financial settlement processes.
• Prepare and review settlement reports for accuracy.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with various departments to facilitate settlements.
• Provide support to internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor and improve settlement procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Proven experience in financial settlements or similar roles.
• Strong understanding of financial processes and regulations.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Skills and Job-Specific Competencies:
• Prior oil and/or energy industry experience is required.
• Prior experience using Oracle is preferred.
Travel Requirements: No travel will be required, unless at the client's discretion.

Salary Range: SolomonEdwards values your unique and individual experience and background. As such, we take a comprehensive approach when determining compensation for our roles. The compensation for this specific role is based on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to, education, licensure and certifications, location, experience, and training. A reasonable estimate for the current hourly range for this role is $65 - 75.
