Operate sewing machine and knife and ensuring that they are sewn in correctly. Run carpet in J-boxes making sure it is running in straight. Watch J-boxes to ensure carpet is entering accumulator in proper position. Watch for torn leader or seams and re-sew them to prevent tear outs. Inspect carpet as it rolls into the machine to alert supervisor of defects. Keep J-boxes and accumulator as full as possible at all times. Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision Follow all established standard operating procedures Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary Perform other tasks assigned by management Must have or willing to obtain a valid lift truck license or complete lift truck certification Pays attention to details. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations. Frequently required to reach, handle, stand, walk, sit, and stoop. Occasionally required to kneel. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds frequently throughout a 8-12 hour shift. Must be able to work 8-12 hour shifts either day or night, weekdays or weekends as scheduled.
