**** Salary Range: $77,000 - $95,000k/yr based on experience ****
The SFO Manager Safety & Compliance, reporting to the Director of SFO, is responsible for the implementation and management of the company safety management system (SMS) and training management supporting the SFO station. While working closely with operational leaders, this position actively manages risk mitigation efforts to reduce employee injuries, EHSS policy and procedure compliance, aircraft ground damage prevention, the application of a fair and just reporting culture, local training development and station training compliance.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITILES
· Closely partner with our customers and airport stakeholders to manage training and occupational health & safety programs for the SFO operations.
· Provide support for station leaders and mentoring as necessary to support the integrity of the Unifi Safety Management Systems.
· Conduct Risk Assessments (RAs), Behavior Based Safety Observations and carry out other EHSS programs and initiatives.
· Foster relationships to secure influence with station management to drive EHSS policies for compliance and mitigation of risk (both employees and aircraft/ground handling operations).
· Perform independent audits with focus on EHS policies, programs & procedures to compare to operational leader audits. Conduct calibration support and training as necessary.
· Lead and support all accident investigations and aircraft damage incident investigations to ensure root cause determination, corrective actions are identified with completion, accountability, and management ownership to drive effective change plus mitigation of risk.
· Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/ABILITIES
· Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
· Ability to pass up to a 10-year background check.
· Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
· Must complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security.
· High School diploma or GED.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/ABILITIES
· Proficient and experienced user of Office 365 apps/programs (Word, Power Point, SharePoint, Sway), including managing and manipulating data using Excel
· Experience in airline/aviation-specific operations with creating, implementing, and improving region/division/company-wide safety and/or training programs
· Familiarity with pertinent regulations including OSHA, EPA, D.O.T., FAA, state and local EHS compliance regulations
· Experience with industry Learning Management Systems (LMS)

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job the employee works indoors in a semi-private office, while performing multiple tasks under tight time constraints. While in the operation, expect exposure to outside weather conditions including rain, snow, sun and extreme cold and extreme heat and moving mechanical parts such as propellers and jet fans and is exposed to fumes or airborne particles. May work various hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
