Ensures adherence to company policies, procedures, and related government regulations. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Accounts Payable Assistant compiles, processes and maintains accounts payable records. + Prepares invoices and requisitions for payment. + Processes, performs research, identifies errors/discrepancies and makes corrections to invoice. + Research and resolve discrepancies with vendors and hospital departments. + Maintains and reviews vendors' invoices for taxing requirements in order to maintain compliance with all IRS regulations. + Reviews and prioritizes invoices according to contractual agreements with vendors. + Performs moderate level accounting, finance, or grant activities. + Prepares and keeps financial and business transactions up-to-date, applying accepted procedures. + Verifies and posts details of business transactions to appropriate ledgers and journals. + May proofread and post operations progress or other reports and make a monthly summary or recap of such reports as needed. + May type vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records. + Under general supervision provides clerical/administrative support in one or more functional areas. + Performs complex clerical tasks. Compiles, files, and maintains personnel records. + Researches and resolves questions complex in nature. + Assists with auditing and data entry in accordance with policies, procedures and system practices. + Maintains and reviews reports for taxing requirements in order to maintain compliance with all Federal regulations. + Recommends process improvements to increase volume of transactions as the avenue for reducing overall costs of transaction processing. + Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. **Qualifications:** + Education: High School Diploma or equivalent + Experience: 2 years relevant experience **What’s in it for you** At St. Luke’s, caring for people in the communities we serve is our mission – and this includes our own SLHS team.
