We work hard to actively support Corning’s evolving businesses, eliminate manual processing of standard transactions, and act as a thought leader in digital transformation to be a top talent destination inside and outside of Corning. The HTR Supervisor will oversee operational activities of the Hire to Retire team to generate accurate and timely processing of payroll for North America. They will support the broader Shared Services North America vision by championing quality, continuous improvement, digital transformation, and talent development to succeed on both corporate objectives and business partner goals. **Day to Day Responsibilities** + Drive the end-to-end payroll processing cycle and efficiently manage interference + Manage escalations received by team, employees, or other internal/external customers + Review, Balance, and reconcile in preparation of payroll sign-off + Approve outbound funding and wire transfers + Monitor metrics on key performance indicators and address gaps as needed + Ensure successful processing of quarter/year-end and scheduled compensation cycles + Demonstrate and champion a quality culture through oversight of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), process control, and process discipline + Support employee staffing, onboarding, and training + Monitor workload and adapt as needed to maintain efficient processing while maintaining segregation of duties and depth of coverage + Fosters and demonstrates an inclusive work environment + Ensure adherence with all Corning Incorporated pay related policies + Interacts with customers, vendors, and agencies as required + Supports SOX (Sarbanes Oxley) compliance requirements, and defines/redefines controls and processes to maintain best practices + Escalate issues as appropriate to ensure timely resolution or crisis response + Apply digital and performance excellence mindset to all activities **Experiences/Education - Required** + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Management + 3+ years of payroll experience + 2+ years of supervisory experience + Knowledge of payroll processing and time keeping systems + Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills + Effectively manages self and team through a fast-paced environment + Proficient with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint + Ability to prioritize work to meet deliverables + Excellent written and oral communication skills **Desired & Soft Skills** + Experience with ADP GlobalView/SAP Payroll + UKG Time and Attendance knowledge + Strong organization skills and attention to detail + Understanding of Shared Services/Finance Organizations + Process oriented and methodical + Performance Excellence – Greenbelt/Digital Acumen + Payroll Association Certification CPP/PCP or other + Embraces change + Cross-cultural sensitivity + Takes initiative + Positive attitude Corning Puts YOU First!
