Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Develop and/or redesign SharePoint based portal architecture.As directed, monitor, install, configure and maintain computer programs designed to enhance SharePoint functionality.Utilize and update rule-based Dynamic Groups in Entra ID to manage site permissions. Integrate SharePoint into existing IT infrastructure. Plan, design and implement SharePoint security including, but not limited to, authentication, security roles, user groups, audiences, and item level security. Plan, design and implement SharePoint data protection, backup and recovery. Rubrik experience a plus. Perform corrective SharePoint administration, configuration and maintenance as required. Create documentation for any function performed under any competency as directed by the Task Manager. Modify SharePoint administrative/configuration settings in support of development efforts, including, but not limited to, taxonomy, site columns, content types and metadata.Install and configure SharePoint.Design applications using moderately complex requirements analysis, including use cases, object diagrams, flow charts, technical specifications, interface mock-ups and test plans, including simulated data and unit tests. Develop applications that may interface with add-ons, third party software and systems and equipment external to SharePoint and require use of programming techniques and development environments external to SharePoint.Resolve moderately complex questions of program intent, input data acquisition, synchronization, output requirements and scalability.Participate in the Organization’s Knowledge Management Working Group and provide technical feasibility assessments of proposed requirements. Ensure solutions require minimal training to the end user while maintaining high reliability and usability. Plan and execute SharePoint end user training.Train designated personnel in SharePoint portal administration and website configuration. Administer and manage SharePoint Online environments: This includes configuring and maintaining SharePoint Online settings, managing site collections, and ensuring the overall health and performance of the SharePoint Online environment. Implement and manage SharePoint Online security: This involves setting up and managing permissions, ensuring compliance with security policies, and implementing data protection measures. Integrate SharePoint Online with other Microsoft 365 services: This includes configuring and managing integrations with services such as Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business, and Power Platform. Monitor and optimize SharePoint Online performance: Regularly monitor the performance of SharePoint Online and take necessary actions to optimize it, including troubleshooting issues and implementing best practices. Stay updated with SharePoint Online updates and features: Keep abreast of the latest updates, features, and best practices for SharePoint Online, and implement them as needed to improve the environment. Provide user support and training: Assist users with SharePoint Online-related issues, provide training and guidance on using SharePoint Online effectively, and create documentation and resources for users. Work with the Academic Delivery Operations team to implement requested updates and changes.Knowledge, Skill and Abilities
Experience with Microsoft 365, running architecting, administrating SharePoint Online.Expertise in Content Types, Taxonomy, SharePoint Search, Information Management Policies.Experience with Power Platform, Power Automate, Power Apps, M365 Copilot, GitHub Copilot.Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in analytics and reporting.Excellent ability to collaborate across functions within an organization.Experience working with Accessibility features and design patterns.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related field, Microsoft certifications or equivalent job experience. Minimum 3 years of related experience in the following: Expertise in SharePoint administration, development, and training.Location: Guadalajara and Merida.
