Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced SharePoint Online (Azure) Functional Consultant to help design, implement, and optimize SharePoint-based solutions aligned with business needs. The ideal candidate should have expertise in SharePoint Online architecture, Azure integrations, governance, and process automation. This role requires a strong understanding of business workflows, document management strategies, security frameworks, and stakeholder engagement to drive digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Solution Consulting: Engage with business users and stakeholders to gather requirements and define SharePoint Online solutions that align with business objectives.
• SharePoint Online Configuration & Customization: Configure SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, metadata, permissions, workflows, and records management as per best practices.
• Azure Integration: Collaborate with technical teams to integrate SharePoint Online with Azure services, Microsoft 365, and third-party applications.
• Data Migration: Plan and oversee data migration from legacy systems to SharePoint Online using tools like ShareGate, Metalogix, or custom scripts.
• Security & Governance: Define and enforce SharePoint governance, security policies, user roles, and compliance standards to protect sensitive data.
• Process Automation & AI/ML Enablement: Utilize Power Automate, AI-based classification, tagging, and Microsoft Syntex to optimize content and workflow automation.
• End-User Training & Adoption: Conduct training sessions, documentation, and best practice guidance to ensure smooth user adoption of SharePoint solutions.
• Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for business users, ensuring clear communication and alignment between business and IT teams.
• Performance & Optimization: Regularly review SharePoint performance, optimize search capabilities, and improve site usability for a seamless end-user experience.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• 8+ years of experience in SharePoint Online as a Functional Consultant or Business Analyst.
• Strong expertise in SharePoint Online architecture, governance, and security best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Azure-based SharePoint integrations (e.g., Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Microsoft Graph API).
• Proficiency in Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI) for workflow automation and business process enhancement.
• Experience in content migration strategies and tools (ShareGate, Metalogix, etc.).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Syntex, AI-based document management, and Intelligent Content Services.
• Strong understanding of SharePoint permissions, compliance, and information architecture.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders, conduct training, and facilitate workshops.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Microsoft SharePoint Online, Azure, or Power Platform certifications.
• Experience in document classification, taxonomy design, and AI/ML-driven content processing.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies for project execution.
