THE ROLE The Department of Technology Services is looking for a SharePoint - Power BI Developer (Information Technology Analyst 2) to develop and support SharePoint, Power BI, O365 and Visual Studio applications. This role will also provide technical support and perform business analyst roles throughout the DOT Division of Technology Services. As a SharePoint - Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of new end user applications and tools for data consumption and visualization. In the application technical support role, the SharePoint - Power BI Developer will maintain existing applications, dashboards, provide post implementation support to applications and data tools and provide training when required. As a business analyst, this person will evaluate business requirements and will design customized applications and tools. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - SPECIAL EXPERIENCE One (1) year of the General Experience must have been performing professional information technology work in such areas as: installation and support of microcomputer hardware, software and operating systems; analysis, design and development of information systems; network hardware and software installation and support; network hardware and/or software problem diagnosis and resolution; performing any closely related professional IT function. NOTE: For state employees this experience is interpreted at the level of an Information Technology Analyst 1. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED + College training in management information systems, computer science or information technology-related area may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equalling one-half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of four (4) years for a Bachelor's degree. + A Master's degree in management information systems, computer science or electrical engineering may be substituted for one (1) additional year of the General Experience. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS + Experience with Office 365 applications. + Experience provisioning and configuring SharePoint Lists. + Experience integrating and extending SharePoint out of the box functionality using Power Automate. + Experience providing guidance and best practices regarding SharePoint Online. + Experience troubleshooting SharePoint issues. + Experience building data models, dashboards and reports using Power BI. + Experience building Power Automate flows. + Experience writing applications with Visual Studio or VS Code.
