SharePoint Systems Engineer

The Systems Engineer will work with a team of Administrators, Engineers, and Architects to build a coalition environment for our U.S. Army Europe-Africa (USAREUR-AF) customer.  The main job focus for the Systems Engineer is performing SharePoint Engineering and Administration functions. Secondarily, the Systems Engineer will also maintain system security, establish practices and procedures, monitor usage statistics and logs, develop baseline configurations, and troubleshoot system related problems. Remain current in operating systems/software analysis and technological developments and applications. Provide expertise and direction in the development or modification of software programs and applications to enhance an operating system.

HOW A SYSTEMS ENGINEER SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Provides technical guidance and leadership to engineers with less experience

Creates effective and clear documentation (EIPs, Build Guides, TTPs, etc.)

Detail oriented and organized; able to understand information systems and ensure accuracy of work

Performing SharePoint Engineering and Administration functions. Secondarily

Maintain system security, establish practices and procedures, monitor usage statistics and logs, develop baseline configurations, and troubleshoot system related problems.

Perform operating systems/software analysis and technological developments and applications.

Provide expertise and direction in the development or modification of software programs and applications to enhance an operating system.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: Bachelor Degree; years of experience can e substituted for degree requirement

Required Experience: 8+ years of related Systems Engineering experience

Required Technical Skills: Microsoft SharePoint Administration (3+ years)

Security Clearance Level: Secret Level Security Clearance

Required Skills and Abilities: Proficient in SQL Server; DoD systems hardening (STIG, ACAS); Windows Operating Systems; Virtualized server environments; Server backups (snapshot, full, differential, incremental, retention policies); PowerShell scripting

Location: Wiesbaden Germany

Candidate must be able to meet German TESA requirements

Candidate must possess DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification on Day 1

Candidate must obtain ITIL Foundation certification within 90 days of hire
