**Shear Operator** **Pay - $20 per hour** **1** **st** **Shift** **Vista, California.** **Job Description** You will be working in the metal department cutting aluminum sheet metal throughout the day. You will be responsible for measuring and cutting sheet metal, tracking work orders, and performing various related tasks. **Responsibilities** + Measure the thickness of sheet metal using calipers or micrometers. + Cut sheet metal using a shear machine. + Perform basic math for taper cuts (diagonal cutting). + Document and track work orders throughout the entire process. + Input work data into the system (requires basic computer skills). + Shrink wrap sheets of metal after loading them onto an A-frame. + Operate a forklift (training will be provided). **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Forklift operation experience is a plus but must be comfortable operating one in the future. + Experience with brake presses, punch presses, and chop saws is beneficial. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
