JOB SUMMARY: Supervises and coordinates work crews engaged in installing commercial sheet metal products and equipment.\n

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nSupervise and coordinate activities of the assigned work crew.\nRead and interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine the sequence and methods of installing ductwork and other related material.\nLay out and mark dimensions and reference lines to determine the proper placement of ductwork and other related materials.\nInstall and direct installation of assemblies in buildings and worksites.\nInspect installed ductwork and other related materials for conformance to specifications.\nDocument job progress via daily reports, job site photos, etc.\nAble to drive a company vehicle, operate equipment and work at heights and in confined spaces.\nAble to use hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment.\nAble to erect and remove the scaffolding.\nFollow and interpret company policies and procedures for workers and enforce safety regulations.\nSpeak, write, read, and understand the English language well enough to perform the job's essential duties.\nPerform related work as assigned.\n\n

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:\n\nHigh School Diploma\/GED\nCompletion of Apprenticeship or Trade School preferred\nMinimum ten years of commercial sheet metal field experience\nPossess active listening skills. Able to give full attention to what is being said, taking time to understand the points being made, and asking questions.\nDemonstrate honest and ethical behaviors in business relationships and transactions.\n\n

LICENSE\/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:\n\nValid Driver's License\nSheet Metal Journeyman License preferred.\n\n

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demand for this position follows the criteria established by the Sheet Metal Field physical demands analysis. The physical demands described here must be met by an employee to perform the essential duties of this job successfully. This position requires continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting, and carrying. Will work in small\/tight confined spaces and at extreme heights. Will climb ladders of varying heights, work on scaffolding and operate the equipment. Other abilities required by this job include the ability to hear and speak to exchange information. Vision abilities require close, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus-dexterity of hands to perform the tasks required of the position. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as (but not limited to) steel toe boots, a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and fall protection. \n

WORK ENVIRONMENT:\n

The workplace in which this employee performs the essential duties of this job may be located in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, and West Virginia. Work is conducted indoors and outdoors in temperature extremes and all types of weather. Wet and slippery conditions can be present. The work area can have debris, trip hazards, and uneven terrain present. May be exposed to chemical hazards. \n
