Job Description: Are you a skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic looking for an exciting opportunity? Join our dynamic team and showcase your expertise in cutting and measuring sheet metal duct and hanging VAV boxes. We are seeking a dedicated professional with experience in installing various types of sheet metal ductwork, including spiral, galvanized, rectangular, double wall, and fiberglass. If you have a strong understanding of piping and controls, AC installation and retrofitting, and the ability to interpret blueprints and complete layouts, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

Install all types of sheet metal ductwork, including spiral, galvanized, rectangular, double wall, and fiberglass.Measure and cut sheet metal to precise sizes.Install preassembled ductwork efficiently.Assist with the installation of sheet metal/duct, hangers, and HVAC systems.Interpret blueprints and complete layout designs accurately.Use scribers, dividers, and squares to mark dimensions on materials.

Essential Skills:

Proven experience in sheet metal installation.Ability to interpret blueprints with ease.Proficiency in ductwork installation.General knowledge of piping and controls.Experience with AC installation and retrofit.Proficiency with basic hand tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Experience in construction and mechanical installation.

Work Environment:

Engage in new construction projects in Sarasota, FL, including a city building and a wastewater treatment facility located 5 miles apart.Full-time schedule with overtime from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM.Candidates must have their own PPE and tools at all times.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00
