Job Description
We are seeking experienced Sheet Metal Mechanics and Helpers to install HVAC systems on commercial construction projects. This role involves hanging, cutting, bending, and shaping sheet metal, as well as cutting openings in walls and floors to accommodate runs of duct using hand tools and power tools. The successful candidates will assemble and install sheet metal ducts, fitters, and hangers, and join ducts and fittings using screws, bolts, drives, solder, caulk, and weld joints.
ResponsibilitiesInstall HVAC systems on commercial construction projects.Hang, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal.Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate runs of duct using hand tools and power tools.Assemble and install sheet metal ducts, fitters, and hangers.Join ducts and fittings using screws, bolts, drives, solder, caulk, and weld joints.Essential Skills2+ years of experience on commercial construction projects.Experience in HVAC sheet metal installation.Experience reading and interpreting blueprints.Experience laying hangers and installing ducts.Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.Ability to cut, fabricate, and install sheet metal.
Work Environment
Work on-site daily at various job locations in SA, including Selma Hospital and UIW. Expect a standard schedule of 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with the possibility of overtime as required. Report to the office for a mandatory safety orientation on the first Monday of employment. Reliable transportation to job sites is necessary.

This is a long term contract position based out of San Antonio, Texas.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $31.00/hr.
