SHEET METAL MECHANIC LEADER
Summary You will serve as a Aircraft Systems Leader in the Aviation Maint/Material Department of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST. Responsibilities You will work on aircraft and has the expertise to provide technical advice and work direction to artisans. You will use hand tools, power driven drill motors, air grinders, air sanders, cutting tools, and floor shop equipment precisely without causing damage in the process. You will manufacture new skins, patches, reinforcements, doublers, brackets, panels, and other sheet metal parts for installation utilizing applicable structural fasteners. You will maintain critical tolerances on all installations and tranfers holes into new parts from existing patterns and templates. You will determine the induction configuration and establish which technical directives that must be accomplished to produce the required product configuration. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
