Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SHEET METAL MECHANIC SUPERVISOR, Position Description Number D0791000 and is part of the CO 140th MXS, National Guard. Responsibilities Plans and schedules specific work assignments on a daily or project-by project basis within specified time requirements. Arranges for adequate personnel, materials and equipment to accomplish the work. Assigns tasks to be performed. Recommends individuals to fill vacancies or for promotion or reassignment. Performs the nonsupervisory functions of the organizational segment supervised. Implements safety regulatory requirements. Prepares for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations, inspections, mobilization and command support exercises. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Military Grades: E-7 1. Specialized experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. 2. Must have at least 18 months of Specialized Experience in each of the following: Experience or training in planning, layout, and construction skills to manufacture items and systems with dovetailed seams, set-in-bottom seams, burred-bottom seams, or wired or lock seams. Experience using more complicated shop tools and equipment. Experience in using metals including stainless steel, copper sheet, magnesium, honeycomb material and alloys. Experience demonstrating the use of more complicated mathematical calculations and complicated measuring instruments. Experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel. Experience or training which demonstrates that the candidate has the ability to organize assignments for subordinates, estimate material and manpower needed for specific jobs; able to explain manuals and work procedures; and to prepare production records, work records and reports. Education Education cannot be substituted for Specialized Experience for this position.
